Catalyst Design Firm has a unique focus on site-specific design. Varying site conditions provide a unique opportunity for each of our home designs.
A structure should compliment its surrounding environment, providing abundant views and lighting without sacrificing comfort and function. It is our goal to develop homes that utilize "Clean Tech Systems" ambient energy, solar power, passive heating, recycled materials and structural methods that promote the longevity of the home while staying within a conventional budget.
While we strive to maximize the potential functional relationship that our clients have with their surrounding environment, we also aspire to retain aesthetic and holistic integrity.

| A graduate of San Diego State University, Principal Nathan Beall earned both his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Environmental Design (1995 and 2002, respectively). Since 1990, Nathan has worked with esteemed architects Eugene Ray, Kotaro Nakamura, Marc Tarasuck, Ken Kellogg, and Island Architects. This experience coupled with his vast education has given him a wide range of exposure to Custom Residental Architecture. Because Organic Architecture was the cornerstone of his education, Nathan's design tends to gravitate toward natural forms and materials.

The architectural influences of Frank Lloyd Wright, Bruce Goff, Jim Hubble, and Arthur Dison paved the road towards Nathan's work experience with organic architects Gene Ray, Ken Kellogg and Eugene Tsui.
